Assembly Rejects Proposal to Defer Consideration of Suspension of South Africa

General Assembly this morning rejected a motion by Canada to defer consideration of a draft resolution which would have the effect of suspending the right of South Africa to be a member of the UN conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD).
