Secretary-General Opens Register of Public Contributions for Apartheid Victims

21 March 1969

A register for the receipt of contributions from the public for "the victims of the policies of apartheid and racism in South Africa" was opened by Secretary-General U Thant at a ceremony held in the Economic and Social Council Chamber.
Dr. Lewis I. Maddocks, of the Council for Christian Social Action, United Church of Christ, signing the register.
