Rural Development in Dahomey
In order to stop young boys drifting into the towns and swelling the ranks of the unemployed, the Government of Dahomey is encouraging the establishment of co-operative farms and young farmers clubs. FAO, ILO and WHO experts as well as voluntary organizations, such as the Mission Protestante Methodist and the Oxford Committee for Famine Relief, are assisting in a number of these projects.
