General Assembly Adopts Resolutions Recommended by Third Committee

The General Assembly this morning adopted resolutions on the questions of the elimination of all forms of racial discrimination, consent to and minimum age for marriage, manifestations of racial prejudice and religious intolerance. The Four resolutions were recommended by the Third Committee (Social, Humanitarian and cultural) and were adopted by the Assembly without discussion. The Assembly was presided over by its president, Amintore Fanfani (Italy), who returned to the United Nations for the first time since his accident on 9 October,
