Security Council Continues Debate on Iraq's Complaint of Aggression by Israel

The Security Council this afternoon continued consideration of Iraq's complaint regarding Israel's attack on a nuclear facility near Baghdad. Statements were made by Cuba's Foreign Minister Isidoro Malmierca speaking for the Chairman of the Group of Non-aligned Countries; and by the representatives of Morocco, Czechoslovakia, Bangladesh, Poland and the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO). At the meeting's conclusion, Iraq's Foreign Minister Saadoun Hammadi read a resolution adopted today by the Islamic countries at the UN strongly condemning the Israeli aggression as "an act of State terrorism" and demanding Israel pay prompt and adequate reparations to Iraq.
