The Security Council this afternoon began consideration of the situation in the occupied Arab territories, acting at Jordan's request on behalf of the Arab Group. The Council heard from, among others, the representatives of Jordan, the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO), Senegal, Syria, Israel, Egypt, Pakistan, and the observer of the League of Arab States.
