General Assembly Elects Eighteen Members of Human Rights Council

The General Assembly today elected eighteen new members of the Human Rights Council for three-year terms beginning on 1 January 2019. Those elected were: Argentina, Austria, Bahamas, Bahrain, Bangladesh, Bulgaria, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Czech Republic, Denmark, Eritrea, Fiji, India, Italy, Philippines, Somalia, Togo, Uruguay.
