Memorial Parade in Leopoldville for Dag Hammarskjöld and Other UN Personnel

On 17 September a memorial parade was held in Leopoldville for the late Dag Hammarskjöld and all civilians and servicemen who lost their lives while serving with the UN in the Congo.
Speaking to members of the diplomatic corps and United Nations personnel, is Mr. Robert Gardiner, Officer-in-Charge, UN Operation in the Congo (ONUC). Seated behind Mr. Gardiner (right to left) are: Colonel Joseph Mobutu, Prime Minister Cyrille Adoula, President Joseph Kasavubu (Republic of the Congo); and Lt. General Kebbede Guebre (of Ethiopia), ONUC Force Commander.
