Preparatory Committee for Trade Conference Sets 5 February as Deadline for Conclusion of Current Session
The preparatory Committee for the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development this morning set next Tuesday, 5 February, as the deadline for conclusion of its current session. It also decided that it would exert every effort to finish its work before that date. The Committee adopted a formal proposal by Janez Stanovnik (Yugoslavia) to this effect, by 20 votes in favour and four abstentions. Six delegations did not participate in the voting.
