UNCURK Members Observe Korean Local Elections Preparations

1 April 1952

Members of the UN Commission for the Unification & Rehabilitation of Korea (UNCURK) left Pusan on 10 April to observe preparations for local elections to be held in the near future in the Republic of Korea. While in Taejon, they called on several of the candidates running for the local Council. Representatives from UNCURK, Mr. D. Ketel (Left), of the Netherlands, and Mr. N. Currie (right), talk with candidate Moon Kap Dong, an Independent.
