UNCURK Members Observe Korean Local Elections Preparations

1 April 1952

Members of the UN Commission for the Unification and Rehabilitation of Korea (UNCURK) left Pusan on 10 April to observe preparations for local elections to be held in the near future in the Republic of Korea. Mr. D. Ketel, of the Netherlands, and Mr. N. Currie, of Australia, are seen here talking of the coming elections with a farmer and his wife. The farmer is on his way to the local market, where he will sell the content of his well loaded ""A"" frame.
