Local Elections in Korea

25 April 1952

Country-wide local elections were held on 25 April and 10 May in the Republic of Korea. They were the first elections to take place throughout the country since the National Assembly poll held in May 1948 under the auspices of the UN Temporary Commission on Korea. Here, at Pusan City Hall, votes are sorted and counted on the evening of the 25th.
