Suwon Agricultural College and Experimental Station

The work of the United Nations Korean Reconstruction Agency (UNKRA) on the buildings and laboratories of the Suwon College and Experimental Station is largely completed. Some 100 buildings have been repaired or rebuilt under contracts totaling Hw 76 million. This photograph shows Dr. Hyun, whose roof-top greenhouse contains local as well as foreign varieties of trees, examining some of the plants. He is trying to develop a hybrid which will be hardier than local trees and will help to detain erosion of the hillsides. [No exact date]
