Assembly Approves Resolution Asking Secretary-General to Seek Release of Detained Personnel of UN Command

By a vote of 45 to five with six abstentions, the General Assembly approved this afternoon a 16-power resolution denouncing the detention of UN Command personnel and asking UN Secretary-General Dag Hammarskjöld to seek their release and report progress by 31 December.
