UNKRA Constructs Vocational Training Center in Pusan

To train Korean workers in the skills necessary to the advancing technical capacity of the country, the United Nations Korean Reconstruction Agency (UNKRA) is constructing and equipping two modern Vocational Training Centers, one at Pusan and the other at Taejon. Besides buildings and modern equipment, UNKRA is supplying 14 qualified instructors for these schools and for others to be set up at Seoul, Mokpo and Kwangju in Cholla Namdo. The 1954 budget for the project is $290,000, plus $226,000 for shop equipment to be installed at the Taejon Center.
