Democratic People's Republic of Korea Signs UNIDO Constitution

The Democratic People's Republic of Korea today signed the Constitution of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO). The Constitution was adopted by consensus on 8 April 1979 by the Vienna Conference of Plenipotentiaries, thus clearing the way for UNIDO to become the UN's sixteenth specialized agency. Its primary objective shall be the promotion of industrial development in the developing countries with a view to assisting the establishment of a new international economic order,
