Plaque Honouring Korean War Dead Unveiled at UN Headquarters

A plaque commemorating the men of 16 countries who lost their lives while fighting with the United Nations Command in Korea was unveiled this morning at UN Headquarters, in New York. This picture, taken during the ceremony shows (left to right): Dag Hammarskjold, Secretary-General of the UN; Henry Cabot Lodge, Jr., of the United States, who spoke in his capacity as representative of the country which served as the Unified Command in Korea; Dr. E. Ronald Walker, of Australia, President of the UN Security Council for June; and Admiral Struble, of the United States Navy. The plaque has been placed on a wall outside the meditation room, in the public lobby of the General Assembly building.
