Secretary-General Inspects Construction Progress at Headquarters

Secretary-General Kurt Waldheim, makes a point about the construction in the south garden to, from left: Clayton Timbrell, Assistant Secretary-General, Office of General Services; Rafeeuddin Ahmed, Chef de Cabinet; Henry Jaran, Chief, Buildings Management Service; and Nicholas Amalfitano (almost entirely hidden from camera), Chief, Headquarters Construction Unit. The construction, here just outside camera range, will house a cafeteria seating 750 people and language classrooms along with interpreters' offices.
