Fine Instruments Centre in Seoul

In order to assist industry, schools and research laboratories in the maintenance and repair of instruments, the Government of the Republic of Korea, assisted by the UN Development Programme with UNESCO as executing agency, has established a Fine Instruments Centre in Seoul. The Centre, which is part of the National Industrial Research Institute, trains technicians in the manufacture and servicing of scientific instruments, helps strengthen the knowledge and skills of engineers already at work and is offering advisory services to industry on instrumentation. It is also developing up-to-date calibration standards which will permit Korean products to compete successfully in world markets.
