Mr. Jonas Mouanza, new Permanent Representative of the Republic of the Congo (Brazzaville) to the United Nations, presenting his credentials to Secretary-General U Thant.
Mr. Mouanza, who has been active in the field of education in his country, is a graduate of the Teachers' College of Saint-Cloud, in France, in 1962. In his country he graduated from the Teachers' College of Mouyondzi, in 1948. He served as a teacher at the school in Pointe-Noire from 1948 to 1950, and as Headmaster of the schools at Pointe-Noire and Kinkala, in the Congo (Brazzaville), from 1950 to 1960. During the period 1960 to 1961, he served as Deputy School Inspector in Boko. Following his graduation from Saint-Cloud, France, he was appointed School Inspector in Brazzaville from 1962 to 1964. Mr. Mouanza was born on 2 November 1926, in Boko, Congo (Brazzaville).
