General Assembly Allocates Soviet Disarmament Item to First Committee

The General Assembly this afternoon approved the General Committee's recomendation that the Soviet disarmament item be allocated to the First (Political and Security) Committee. The recommendation of the General Committee was approved by 62 votes to 12, with 24 abstentions. Seen here as he addressed the meeting, prior to the vote, is Premier Nikita S. Khrushchev, Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the USSR.
