UN Flag Raised at U.S. Mission

Raising the UN flag at the United States Mission, on Park Avenue, Mr. Warren Austin, U.S. Representative declares: ""The United States Mission to the United Nations is the arm by which the U.S. conducts its efforts toward peace in the Council chamber of the UN. It is appropriate, therefore, that the mission should also display the blue flag which flies at the side of our own and others in Korea and which symbolises the union of all peoples in the search for a better way of life - for peace with freedom.""
