Peacekeepers from Guinea Serving with MINUSMA

Guinea is one of the major troop contributors to the United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in Mali (MINUSMA), with a battalion of 868 military personnel, including 16 women. They are based in Kidal, in northern Mali, where they ensure the security of the civilian population, as well as the MINUSMA camp, and conducts landmine and improvised explosive device search on the surrounding roads.
