Members of UNCURK at Seoul

1 February 1952

Some members of the UN Commission for the Unification and Rehabilitation of Korea (UNCURK) are at present in Seoul, looking over the reconstruction that is taking place in the Korean capital city. Photographed here during their visit to the city are: Mr. George Movshon (left), Information Officer of UNCURK, and Mr. Abdul Kakar, Pakistan, who is standing on the steps of the Duck-su palace, the one time seat of the King of Korea. Only the outside shell of the palace remains, the rest of it having been destroyed during the conflict.
