Korean Citation for Philippine Officer

1 June 1952

In recognition and appreciation of his exceptionally outstanding and meritorious services, Colonel Mariano C. Azurin, Commanding Officer of the 10th Battalion Combat Team, Philippine Expeditionary Force to the Republic of Korea, was awarded the (Korean) Order of Military Merit, Ulchi with Silver Star. This picture, taken at the Ministry of National Defence in Pusan, shows Tae-Yung Shinn (center), Minister for National Defence, presenting the citation to Mr. Maximino Bueno, Philippine delegate on UNCURK (Colonel Azurin left Korea some time ago with the 10th Battalion).
