General Assembly Admits People's Republic of Southern Yemen as Member of United Nations

The General Assembly admitted the People's Republic of Southern Yemen this morning to the United Nations, bringing the membership of the Organization to 123.
Saif Ahmad Dhalee, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Southern Yemen, takes his seat in the General Assembly. Behind him is Ahmed Ali Musaid, representative of Southern Yemen. On the right is Pierre De Meulemeester, UN Chief of Protocol.
