UN Television Brings the United Nations to the Screens of the World

The proceedings of the United Nations take place in full view of the public and the mass communications media of the world. The recently constituted television service of the Department of Public Information in addition to kinescoped news coverage of events at United Nations Headquarters, prepares documentary programs, news commentaries and interviews in seven languages for TV stations in 3 continents.
Here, M. Christian Pineau (right), France's Minister for Foreign Affairs, is being interviewed by Mr. Robert Nivelle, of UN-TV.
