UN Television Brings the United Nations to the Screens of the World

The proceedings of the United Nations take place in full view of the public and the mass communications media of the world. The recently constituted television service of the Department of Public Information prepares documentary programs, news commentaries and interviews in seven languages for TV stations in three continents.
Here, M. Christian Pineau (right, back to camera), France's Minister for Foreign Affairs, is being interviewed for UN-TV by M. Henri Pierre, of ""Le Monde"" (seated, left of group); and M. De La Rue of ""France Soir"".
