UN Iraq-Kuwait Observation Mission (UNIKOM) Monitors Demilitarized Zone

On 9 April, the Security Council approved the Secretary-General's plan for establishing the United Nations Iraq-Kuwait Observation Mission (UNIKOM).
Canadian soldiers building accommodations for UNIKOM staff at the NORMED hospital, which is part of Norway's contribution to UNIKOM. Preparations are underway to move UNIKOM Headquarters to the NORMED site.
