United Nations Emergency Force in Gaza

1 June 1959

The United Nations Emergency Force, since its creation during the winter of 1956, has maintained a constant vigil along the Armistice Demarcation Line and the International Frontier. A Royal Canadian Air Force Squadron stationed at El Arish Airport provides air coverage to UNEF.
