Technical Assistance to Yugoslavia: Worker Trainees

To help Yugoslavia fill its needs for many different kinds of skills required by the large-scale programme of economic development which that country initiated after the last war, the International Labour Organisation (ILO), at the request of the Government, has sent 44 specialized foremen-instructors from more highly industrialized countries to train Yugoslav workers in nine branches of industry. At the same time, the ILO has developed opportunities for placing nearly 400 Yugoslav skilled workers in other more highly developed countries for short periods of study and training.
The Rakovica tractor factory in Belgrade is one of the industries being helped by foremen-instructors from the ILO. Seen here, two workmen set a "Zadrugar" tractor-engine in place on the assembly line at the factory. [No exact date]
