World AIDS Day Observance Addresses the "Children Left Behind"

General Assembly President Theo-Ben Gurirab (Namibia) addresses the opening segment of the World AIDS Day observance at Headquarters, which is meeting on the thcme, ""The Children Left Behind"". He is flanked by Dr. Peter Plot, Executive Director of the Joint United Nations Programme on HIV/AIDS (UNAIDS), and Deputy Secretary-General Louise Frechette.
The event was organized by the Department of Public Information (DPI).
