UNFICYP Commander and Special Representative of Secretary-General in Cyprus Meet with Archibishop Makarios

General K.S. Thimayya, Commander of the United Nations Force in Cyprus, and Mr. Carlos Bernardes, Special Representative of the Secretary-General in Cyprus, today visited the Famagusta harbour area. They met with Archibishop Makarios, President of the Republic of Cyprus, Mr. P. Georgadjis, Minister of Interior, General George Grivas, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Cyprus, and other senior government officials.
