A plan of operation providing for expanded activity by the Latin American Demographic Centre (CELADE) in Santiago, Chile, with costs shared by 12 Governments of the region and the UN Development Programme (UNDP), was signed at UN Headquarters today.
Mr. Victor Hoo, Commissioner for Technical Cooperation, signing the plan of operation. At left is Mr. C.A. Stavropoulos, Under-Secretary for Legal Affairs. In the background are Dr. Manuel Perez Guerrero (left) of Venezuela, and Mr. Paul G. Hoffman, Administrator of UNDP.
