Drought in Africa: Mozambique

Drought is ravaging the continent of Africa. And famine is a harsh reality for millions of people living there. Emergency food and water supplies are a first necessity. But for the long-term many complex problems - political as well as environmental - have to be solved.
Grain supplied by the World Food Programme being unloaded on the shallow harbour of Vilanculos. From there it is taken by trucks donated by Sweden to Government warehouses before being distributed to the four southern provinces worst affected by the drought.
