Secretary-General Boutros Boutros-Ghali Celebrates 50th Anniversary of the United Nations with Shuttle-Mir Docking Mission

Secretary-General Boutros BOUTROS-GHALI (seated, left) holds an interactive video-conference with the combined crew of the second Shuttle-Mir Docking mission, STS-74/Atlantis, shown on the television screen as they are seated in the Core Module of the Mir space station. The crew, comprised of representatives from Canada, the Russian Federation, the United States and the European Space Agency (Germany), is the largest international crew to date.
