Louis Orr Etching Presented to Secretary-General
The original copper plate and signed artist proofs of an etching of the United Nations Headquarters buildings by the American artist Louis Orr has been presented today to Secretary-General Dag Hammarskjöld and to former Secretary-General Trygve Lie by Mr. William Zeckendorf, President of the New York City real estate firm of Webb and Knapp, Inc. Mr. Zeckendorf commissioned Mr. Orr to do the etching for presentation to the United Nations. It is being copyrighted for exclusive use by the United Nations. The composition depicts an over-all view of the United Nations buildings, as seen from the northeast corner of the site area, at 48th Street an the East River Drive.
