Apartheid Committee Calls for Security Council Action against South Africa

Eight petitioners appeared this morning before the Special Committee against Apartheid to condemn the killings and violence by the South African regime during the last week and to call for action by the UN and the International community. The Committee decided without objection to submit a special and urgent report to the Security Council, calling for action against South Africa under Chapter VII of the Charter.
David Sibeko, of the Pan Africanist Congress of Azania (PAC), one of the South African liberation movements, a petitioner, is seen making a statement.
