General Assembly Receives Draft Resolution to Reject Independence of Transkei

The General Assembly this morning began consideration of the apartheid policies of South Africa, and received a draft resolution asking the Assembly to reject the declaration of independence today of the Transkei and to call on all States to deny any form of recognition to the Transkei and other Bantustans, or homelands.
