Rehabilitation of Suez Canal Workshops at Port Fuad

The United Nations, utilizing the advisory assistance of Mr. J. Connors - technical assistant and senior aide to UN Secretary-General's special representative to direct Suez Canal clearance operations General Wheeler - helped Egyptian engineers who with the normal workshop staff have completed 90 percent of the rehabilitation work. Here in the Plate Shop at Port Fuad, a worker uses a pneumatic chipping tool to remove welding flux from tubes. 1957.
