Rehabilitation of the Suez Canal Telecommunications System

1 April 1957

The United Nations purchased a radio and telephone equipment, and International Telephone and Telegraph chartered a plane to fly six tons of apparatus from New York to Egypt. Egyptian personnel then installed the equipment with the advisory assistance of the New York engineer.
