Rehabilitation of Suez Canal Workshops at Port Fuad

The United Nations, utilizing the advisory assistance of Mr. J. Connors - technical assistant and senior aide to UN Secretary-General's special representative to direct Suez Canal clearance operations General Wheeler - helped Egyptian engineers who with the normal workshop staff have completed 90 percent of the rehabilitation work.
In the machine shop at the Port Fuad works, an assistant checks on the operation of a shaper while machining a section of bronze from a tug-boat feed pump being repaired at the shop. 1957.
