Rehabilitation of Suez Canal Workshops at Port Fuad

The United Nations, utilizing the advisory assistance of Mr. J. Connors - technical assistant and senior aide to UN Secretary-General's special representative to direct Suez Canal clearance operations General Wheeler - helped Egyptian engineers who with the normal workshop staff have completed 90 percent of the rehabilitation work.
In the machine shop at the Port Fuad works, technicians inspect the working of a vertical boring mill as it was being used to machine a new case for a damaged electric motor. The case was cast in the Port Fuad foundry. 1957.
