Negotiations at Kitona

A series of talks were held yesterday and today between Mr. Cyrille Adoula, Prime Minister of the Republic of the Congo (Leopoldville) and Mr. Moise Tshombe, President of the Provincial Government of Katanga, at the UN-occupied base at Kitona. The Meeting was arranged with the assistance of the UN Organization in the Congo (ONUC) and US Ambassador Edmond Gullion. In the early hours of 21 December following the conclusion of the talks are (left to right): Mr. Rémy Mwamba, Justice Minister of the Republic of the Congo; Prime Minister Cyrille Adoula; Mr. Justin Bomboko, Foreign Minister of the Republic of the Congo; Mr. Christophe Gbenye, Interior Minister of the Republic of the Congo; Mr. Mahmoud Khiary (UN); Dr. Ralph J.
