The Right to Work: Vocational Training in Sierra Leone

A principal goal of the Second UN Development Decade is to help the millions of people who are poor, sick, hungry and illiterate earn enough money to achieve ""a minimum standard of living consistent with human dignity"".
A student being trained in carpentry work at the Kissy Trade Centre in Freetown. With help from the UN Development Programme (UNDP), the Government of Sierra Leone is providing vocational training facilities for about 300 students at this Centre.
