Internally Displaced Persons in Sudan Return Home

Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) board a plane chartered by the International Organization for Migration (IOM) for their return to southern Sudan, under the auspices of the Government of National Unity, the Government of Southern Sudan and the United Nations Joint Plan for Returns, via Juba. The IOM has already assisted 100 IDPs to return home and the organization plans to help 1,600 more Internally Displaced persons to return to Western and Central Equatoria by air. 15 more flights will follow and since February 43, 000 IDPs have been returned to their homes.
