The Arab Refugees

The Arab Refugees

Since the partition of Palestine, in 1948, more than 800,000 Arabs have taken refuge in the neighbouring countries. They are the concern of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for the Palestine Refugees in the Near East.
Here, in vocational training in the village of Imam Shafi'i, in the Gaza strip, these boys learn bookbinding. Books in the circulating libraries run by UNRWA's Welfare Section are sent to the group for rebinding and repair.
