Young Arab Refugee Learning Embroidery

An embroidery centre (which includes training in weaving, tailoring and sewing) was established in 1950 near Gaza by the U.N. Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) to create work for some of the 200,000 Arabs who took refuge on the Gaza strip following the Palestine war of 1948.
One of the younger girls is learning embroidery.
