Automotive School for Palestine Refugees
In 1948, following the Palestine war, 200,000 Arabs took refuge in the Gaza strip; they have received help from the Egyptian government, the International Red Cross, the Quakers and, since 1950, the U.N. Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA). Various vocational training centres were built to teach the refugees a trade.
