A total of some 176,000 refugee children are receiving elementary and secondary education; 123,000 in UNRWA/UNESCO schools and the rest - with the assistance of UNRWA - are attending State or private schools. A group of children in the 1st Grade at the Sabra School located on the outskirts of this city.
